    Intermittent issue

    Hi all,

on my spreadsheet - R12 on DRG 1sheet it gives a length of 9850. This gets the information from cell G66 on Quote PG 1, which in turn gets it from the Lookup on Price Builder AG 342- which has value of 8650. The values are not the same?

    Why?

Checked the Lookup formula, it is correct, no typo's etc.
    LOOKUP(I30,'EXCEL PRICE BUILDER'!$B$339:$B$347,'EXCEL PRICE BUILDER'!$AG$339:$AG$347)

The result_vector part is a formula in itself, - SUM(ab342:af342) from another worksheet.

This does not happen all the time - any ideas anyone?

Did you follow all of the rules for LOOKUP? Is the data in 'EXCEL PRICE BUILDER'!$B$339:$B$347 sorted in ASCENDING order? If not, it is possible to return an incorrect value.

from HELP: Important The values in lookup_vector must be placed in ascending order: ...,-2, -1, 0, 1, 2, ..., A-Z, FALSE, TRUE; otherwise, LOOKUP may not give the correct value. Uppercase and lowercase text are equivalent.

    Good Luck
