    worksheet protection

I have a workbook that a few of the sheets contain subtotals. I want the user to be able to view the different levels - the +and - by the subtotal so they can see the detail if they want but i want the sheet to remain protected.

the user is working on the excel version before 2000, whichever that is, im not sure.

    thanks in advance

I am not aware of any way to protect the sheet and still allow the use of the SubTotal Groupings.

    Sorry.

Is it possible to copy this data to another sheet and leave that unprotected (and maybe HIDE the sheet with the actual data)?

    Just a thought...

    Good Luck.
