suduko

hi, im trying to sort out puzzles from the newspaper. and im sure there is a way that excel can make this a lot easier for me.

im sure that somebody out there has played suduko. is there any way you can put this puzzle into excel to make it easier to solve??

If the latter I would set up the grid with the given numbers and have a COUNTIF() function for each number (1 to 9) for each row, column and square

And a series of buttons labelled 1 thru 9 that would (by very simple macro) place the corresponding label value into whichever cell you make active within the grid
