    #Ref! Message

    Hi,

I have a cell (M4) with the following simple formula:

    =$C$17

I am using a macro which deletes the contents of C17 and replaces it with other similar data (percentages).

However, after replacing the contents of C17, M4 now shows #REF!.

Is there a way to retain the formula in M4?

    Thanks,
    Dan.

Try using the INDIRECT function in M4.

    In M4 enter:

    =INDIRECT("C17")
