I have created a template that imports csv data from a file located in the same folder, and the Refresh Control in Data Range properties set so that it does not prompt for import. This makes it seamless whenever I fire up the template.

However, when I send this simple solution to other people by email or zipping up the xlt and the csv, I effectively break the link, which means that the recepient has now got to reestablish the csv link manually for the xlt to work properly again.
As I understand it Xl treats text links differently to normal queries and I have no idea how to "lock" this link so that the template always looks in the local directory for the data.

I have pulled my hair out on this, but I bet someone out there will be able to solve it in seconds !!!
All help gratefully received .... would consider a macro solutions as well, although some people will have security issues.
