stop Excel hyperlinks

I cannot seem to create a clean sheet with no hyperlinks to old, ancient
information no longer relevant!

By hyperlinks, do you mean file links? In other words, does it ask you if you want to update links when you open the file?

If so, this is easy with Excel 2002 or later. EDIT - LINKS - DELETE LINKS.

If you have an earlier version, install the attached add-in and it works almost the same way.
