Hi all --

I'm trying to figure out how to use QuoteCat to pull stock quotes from Yahoo into an Excel spreadsheet.

The format for requests to the DDE object are as follows:

=QCAT|YahooECN!stocksymbol

What I would like to do is make it so that stocksymbol references a particular cell in the spreadsheet so I don't have enter them manually. So, I'd like something like:

=QCAT|YahooECN!$A2

But this does not work - I can't figure out how to format the symbol to make the request work. I got this DDE plug in at www.quotecat.com. It would seem to be perfect for my purposes, but right now requires a lot of manual work for a lot of symbols.

Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated!
