    Excel Custom Format

I want to format a cell in Excel to always have the word "Tuition-" then
whatever I type in. I could get it to work if I type in numbers, but not
alpha. I formatted the cells to be "Tuition-"?
    Any suggestions?

    RE: Excel Custom Format

I think you'd be better off creating a separate column. In A, type what you
want. In B, use the formula ="Tuition-"&A1. You can always hide A if you
don't want it. Or, you can highlight B, copy, paste special values, and
    delete column A.

    Hope this helps.
