    Counting highlighted cells

    Hi all,

probably easy, but not to me.

I need to colour multiple cells in a column say 80 cells A20:A100

is there an easy way of counting 80 from A20 so I know when to stop and fill.

There is no data in the cells so I realise I can't use the count in the task bar.

What would be the easiest and quickest way of knowing how many cells I have highlighted without having to count manually or work out the row difference.

Thank you for your help as always.

    Greg.

Since there is nothing in the cells, just put in a 1 in the first cell in the column and copy down to bottom of sheet. Then use the count (or sum) in the task bar. When you are through just highlight the column and hit delete to clear out the 1's.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I did not want to have to put data in then delete it, I was looking for a quick and easy way to do it.

    Any other solutions?

    Greg.
