    Help with Time

    Hi, New user here,
As an ex-programmer, I am horrified at work by the messy formulas in use,
Excel tho I love. My problem is this (and I hope I don't get slated coz it's been answered before).

Imported data to EXCEL gives the time only as a number:
    1037
    934
    1136

    and so on.
IS there a way to convert these numbers into time format without messy (left,2 concat( etc... I've tried just changing the format, and also =text(a1,"hhmm") etc.. but as they are numbers it doesn't work.

    Tnx in advance....

    Try...

    =SUM(IF(LEN(A1)=4,MID(A1,{1,3},2)/{24,1440},MID(A1,{1,2},{1,2})/{24,1440}))

    ...confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.

    Hope this helps!
