I'm a novice so please be gentle. I'm not even sure Excel 2002 can do this. I am entering text in rows from a dropdown list on another sheet, approx. 75 different choices. This will happen on every 3rd column. This will be done on 65 rows. I would like to get a message (i.e.- STOP, NO-WAY, CAN'T DO, etc.) if, on 1 row, the same choice is made from the dropdown list more than 3 times. It would be like an "invalid choice" message and would not allow a 4th entry of the same choice in that row. I would like this to happen on each of the 65 rows but independently from the other rows, sort of row specific. If my discription is not clear let me know. If you need a copy of the workbook I can do that. Or am I just having a pipe dream?
Thank you in advance,
