Hi:

Ten networked office computers need to access an Excel file (an editable chart which logs the dates that patient medical record requests are made and dates that medical records are received) which resides in one computer's Shared folder (the Host). Sharing access is enabled. When a first Client opens the Host file on their computer, they edit the file as needed. If a second Client opens the Host file, they don't yet see the edited changes because the first Client has not yet saved the file to overwrite the Host file. With multiple instances of the Host file open on the varied Client computers, in various stages of editing, each can't be saved to overwrite the Host file because they are locked for editing. Only a temp Client copy of the file can be saved to each Client's computer. This defeats the purpose of trying to have one master Host file which reflects all changes made to the file on each Client computer. Is there any efficient work-around for 10 people to be able to work on one Excel file, and for all to save their work to one master Host file?

Thanks.
