affix some kind of text to a cell column/row?

Is there some way to affix a predefined bit of text or number or something to the end of a particular cell?

For instance, I have a spreadsheet that has about 50 rows, and about 5 columns. One of the columns will always be a photo name including the extension, which is always .jpg (in this instance). I'd like to be able to predefine somewhere in this column that the suffix is always ".jpg" so that whatever I type will then be outputted with the extension included. Thus, when I enter "filename" it will show up as "filename.jpg" ....

    Thanks!

    Solved!

WOW I solved my own problem! Boy don't I feel special?

At any rate, for future searchers, here's how I did it.

Select the column or row you want to affix the suffix to. Then go to Format > Cells ... and then click on the Number tab. Under the category list, scroll down to the bottom and highlight 'Custom'. In the 'Type' box to the right, format your number using the following: 0".jpg" .... the .jpg was surrounded by the double quotes immediately following the number.
