Yo, just found this forum through google.
Could someone please tell me if there is a way to have Excel automatically enter a number based on a global counter?
i.e. Every time I make an entry into my expenses column, I would like a number to appear in the adjacent column which denotes the chronological order of the entry.
e.g. I'm in sheet 1, I add an expense, it assigns it number 147. I then go into sheet 5 and add an expense, it assigns it number 148. Then back to sheet 3 and enter yet another expense, the number it automatically assigns is 149.
