    column splitting

is there a way to break up a column that has name, address, city, state, and
zip included all together? Is there a macro that can be used?

Have a look at Data Menu < Text to Column

This will allow you to split a single column into many columns if you have a common charator like a , between each field

Select the data that you wish to split - make sure you have enough blank cells to the right of your data.

Data Menu < Text to Column
    Select Delimited
Enter/remove ticks as required - You will see a line showing you data split into fields
    press next button
    press finish
