To start with, if "only one working on each shift at a
time" then there are only 168 hours available per week.
But you have specified 180 hours per week.
That said, try the following for starters
Headers, A1>Date, B1>Emplyee A, C1>Employee B, D1>Employee
C
A2>2/28/2005, B2>"day", C2>"night", D2>"" <blank>
A3> =A2+1
Copy A3 down
B3> =IF(B2="","day",IF(B2="day","night",""))
Copy B3 to C3 and D3
Copy B3:D3 down 3 rows (to Friday 3/4)
B7> =B6
Copy B7 to B7:D8
Copy B3:D3 to B9:13
Copy B7:B13 (a whole week) down as far as you want
This gives each employee at least one three day weekend
per month.
In A2 type in a monday date
