How do I change the number of decimal places displayed in Excel

How do I change the number of decimal places displayed in Excel when
concantenating m calculation results with text? The normal format options do
not work. Example: I want 601.23423423A displayed as 601.23A. <TIA>

as an example

=TEXT(601.23423423,"0.00")&"A"
