    Exclamation Setting up a formula in office excel 2003

    Hi, I need to set up a formula for easily getting a petial price for an item, I need a form so i can just type in the cost price of an item and it will work out the retial price, i need it to do the following...

    Cost price + 50pence + 25% +17.5% + 5.25% = Retail price for an item.

    I am usless using excel so i need it to be as easy as possible

    Hi Tom,

    if the cost price is in cell A1 then

    =(((A1 + 0.5) * 1.25) * 1.175) * 1.0525

    sorry to be a pain but how do i lay this out so when i put in the cost price in A1 the total needs to come out in A3? Thanks

    Put the given formula above in cell A3.
