Changing mulitple cells to absolute reference.

Can somebody tell me if they know how to change mulitiple cells either by function or automated process to an absolute reference value.
eg sheetxyz!b3 to sheetxyz!$b$3
The thought of going through 6000+ cells and changing manually is not an option.

I would use Edit, Replace . . ., Find what: B3, Replace with: $B$3, Replace All.
