We have Excel 2003 SP1 with all available updates (version 11.6355.6408)
After some time user recieve a problem: he can't save newly created files,
application faulting and offer to send information about error to Microsoft.

We found the problem, it was a registry value:

If we remove this value new files can be saved.

And now the questions:
How this value can appear? And what the reason of fault with this value?
