Linking Formats

Hi,

Does anyone know how to link formats between cells?? For example, if I link A1 to A2 and shade A2 with blue colour, is there any way that A1 will automatically fill with blue colour too??

Assuming sheet 1's tab is white (meaning it is active), press down the control key and click on sheet 2's tab, and then release the control key. Tab 1 and 2 will become active and turn white. Anything you now do on sheet 1 will also appear on sheet 2. Colour a cell on sheet 1 and the same cell on sheet 2 will also be coloured, because the sheets are linked as long as both tabs are white.

Many thanks for the swift reply. Although your method does duplicate actions across sheets, I am unfortunately looking to link cells so that dependent cells automatically update themselves (just as they would with numbers). Can this be done with colour formatting??
