Macro Limit?

Is there a limit to the number of macros that can be created for an Excel worksheet? I have about 600 that I need to create (600 checkboxes each with an associated macro assigned to it). I've entered about 60 so far...will it allow me to continue or will I be wasting my time?

Also, since each macro is independent, the sheet would not slow the system down in any way, correct?
