equations on filtered records only

Hi,

I have some data that I want to do some statistical tests on. I want to be able to filter on a column and have the equations relate only to the visible records.

I can use the SUBTOTAL function for simple stats (count, min, max etc), but want to be able to do the same thing with my own formulas.

Is it possible to do this without any macros?
