You could use a macro to copy the messages to the adjacent cells. For
example, select the column with data validation, then run the following
code:

Set rng = Selection.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeAllValidation)
For Each c In rng
c.Offset(0, 1).Value = c.Validation.InputMessage
