    long text in cell

I would like to have a product description that stays in one cell...This is a short description, I average 2 sentences in a cell. Currently, I cannot seem to be able to have the text continue in the same cell. it stays in only one line and goes on to the next page?!--if I press enter, then it goes onto the next cell
I have sized my cell with enough space it seems to me, but it (the text) won't stay within the cell.
    any ideas?

    I am using
    office 2004 for Mac

    katah,

To keep the text in the cell use the format option and set text wrap to on.
If you want to start a new line in a cell for some text, use alt-enter rather than enter.

new line within the same cell - mac user

Great, the text wrap function worked...thanks

now the problem is with starting a new line withing the same cell.
it seems your suggestion does not work with the mac version of Excel,
I tried doing the alt -return, no luck,
    then the apple-return, no luck
and also control-return, no luck either...
are there any mac users out there that have other suggestions?
