    How to access excel toolbar

    How can I access my formatting toolbar when part of my worksheet is password
    protected, this is a share worksheet.

    If the sheet is passwrod protected. It will depend on which aspects are protected.
    The developer can protect the formatting of the sheets, and if this is the case you will need to obtain his/her password to unlock the formating toolbar.
    You will know if it is locked by all formatting icons being dulled out on the toolbars.

    Two things are preventing it: password protection, and workbook sharing. Remove both
    of these constraints and you'll be able to format the sheet.

    Thank you for your help..but I need part of the worksheet protected and
    shared and the formatting toolbar need to be access by users.

    Then the person with the password needs to set the Protection parameters to allow formatting, and nothing else!
