This is odd, Link to CostCo in a spreadsheet hangs Excel

I have a spreedsheet that contains links and passwords. This morning, clicking on the CostCo link caused Excel to hang. I've attached a sample Excel file with a few links including CostCo. Clicking on the cell in column "A" opens the link for all of them EXCEPT CostCo which hangs. The link will open in a browser and is the URL I copied from the browser.

I'm using Excel 2013 and tried this with Windows 10 and 11.

I know it's not the answer you were looking for, the link works for me no hanging experienced.

I'm not quite understanding what you mean is hanging. Does the link come up in the browser but Excel stops responding? Does Excel stop responding without opening the link?

When I click on the link in the Excel file, that link comes up instantly for me in Chrome, with no effect on Excel.

What is your default browser? And to be clear, the URL opens if you put it directly into the browser?

I get an hour glass and eventually a message that Excel is not responding.

Well now, after about 30 seconds of the hour glass, it lets me click on the upper right "X", then I get the Not Responding message box. If I click on Close Program in the message box, Excel closes, but the the CostCo site opens. Seems kind of erratic.

Whatever the problem is, it is not in the Excel file. There must be something in your environment causing this. Are you still using Excel 2013 as it says in your profile?
