Calendar Conditional Formatting and between date range highlights

    Good afternoon!
After days of searching the web and forums I am reaching out for help. Two items I am trying to do.
1- Events sheet is where the event will be located with a start and end date. I want to highlight all dates in that range rather than entering another line item for the next day in that range.

2- Using the conditional formatting I am trying to highlight only calendar items that have text, any text. It seems to be highlighting the cells with formulas, even though the cell if blank. I have tried several methods seen in forums. However, there is something about my book that doesn't work.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Sorry if I am missing something. My sheet updates the rows properly; however, as you can see, my CF is highlighting cells that contain formulas. I don't see a reference to the date range either(start through end).

Re: Calendar Conditional Formatting and between date range highlights

The file in Post #4 is one of mine originally. The Project_tracker sheet is equivalent to your Events sheet, where a date range is specified for each activity. The example data in columns A to D has 41 records.

There are formulae in the blue columns which automatically expand each date range of the original data to give one record for each date within the range, and this second table needs 354 records to display the expanded set. This is then displayed on the Calendar on the appropriate days, with up to 7 simultaneous events on any particular day.

All of this is done automatically, with very little involvement from the User (just needs to ensure that the formulae in the blue cells are copied down far enough for the expanded table).

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

Thank you both for your assistance. I am reviewing the formulas and attempting to apply it to my workbook. I will let you know how it turns out.

Popipipo-That formula works for the highlighting correcting my highlight issue.
