Here's an update that will take you up to 200. But I have not done thorough testing on it. You'll have to help with that.

Oh my, that is a miserable bit of design. They have created a named range for each player, 100 of them. There has to be a better way to do that which does not involve creating 100 more. I will see if I can come up with formula that can apply to any player.

I have replace the Pick[1...100] named formulas with a single formula named Pick, and update the Pick sheet. The text that was previously hidden by using white font is now visible in red for any debugging purposes. I unhid all rows and columns but you can hide them again if you prefer that.

Once again, thank you very much for making the change. I am so grateful for your help on this.

I did a few more tests and we are in a better place. I have noticed one other error now on TAB "Last Man Standing Race (2)". This tab usually sorts out the people that won a round and brings them to the top of the table. I have attached another version of the spreadsheet that illustrates this very well with over 80 players.

I will say that this is not essential to me as I can use the "Last Man Standing Race" TAB which shows the results but does not sort them in any way.

If you are able to repair that would be amazing :-)

That thing is full of surprises. More hidden formulas in column BK that had to be updated.

I did this because I felt that it was a huge benefit for you vs. the time I had to spend, and it was a little bit interesting.

Given that, I still have no fecking idea what a Last Man Standing tournament is.

OK.. if I find any bugs I will return. But thank you once again. However, I can't let you go without explaining what LMS is:

Basically it is a game that we play based on the results of the English Football (Soccer) Premier League matches each week. The rules are as follows:


LAST MAN STANDING RULES as per El Capo


- £10 to play (or multiples of if you join after rollovers)

- From the English Premier League, I will publish the valid fixtures and a selection deadline in advance each week. THIS DEADLINE IS HARD. NO EXCEPTIONS.

- All players pick one Team from this fixture list by set deadline. Be CLEAR on your team name... "United" will not suffice.

- You can submit your selection privately or on the main group window

- Your FIRST submission is your ONLY submission (i.e. you cannot change your mind)

- You can’t pick the same team twice. I.e. once you have selected Manchester United, you are not able to select them again in subsequent weeks.

- If no team is submitted by the deadline, or you give one you have already chosen, by default you will get the lowest placed team in the league that you have not yet picked. (this applies even if you are just a minute late!)

- All picks will be published before the 1st game of the weeks set fixtures kicks off

- If any game postponed / cancelled on day, it will count as a win

- YOUR TEAM MUST WIN TO STAY IN GAME FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK. If your selected Team Lose or Draw, you are OUT

- The Last Man Standing Wins Pot

- If last few players go out on the same week (i.e. there is no Last Man), then the pot rolls over, we all pay £10 again and we start again (all previous selections cleared)

- Final Rule - Overall I reserve the right to make decisions based on circumstances

So the players listed in the file are the people who pay into the pool, not the athletes!

I don't follow English football, American football, American soccer, or much of other sports, except I do like baseball. And I do watch the Super Bowl every year.
