Preserving relationship between power queried field and user entered one

    Hi,

I have a list of unique numeric ID codes loaded into excel via power query. (They're from a big external database with loads of other fields but for this all I have in excel is that one field.) Once added an ID will never be removed, but new ones are added at a rate of 2-3 every week. Refreshing the data connection loads any new entries into excel.

I'm trying to make a form whereby the IDs are in A:A and a user can type comments into B:B. Currently whenever the data is refreshed there is a fair chance that the sort order is different and all the IDs in A:A move around, leaving the comments in rows no longer corresponding to the right ID.

Is there any good way to automatically save the relationship between these two columns and sort the comment to wherever row its ID is on every time it refreshes?

    Thanks

    Perhaps something like this.
    1. Make connections to both the table of old and new ID's and comments
    2. Use the following Power Query code to append the two tables and sort by ID's
    3. Copy the appended table and paste as values to replace the original "Old Table" and to be used when another batch of new ID's are ready to be added
