    Complex conditional formatting

    Good morning,

I have a group of cells that I want to format based on the sum of another group of cells. I want the cells to format if the sum of the other cells is less than 99% or greater than 101%. However, I do NOT want the cells to format if the sum of those cells is 0%. I originally had it written as 2 formulas, one for the less than 99% and one for the greater than 101%. However, I can't figure out how to prevent the formatting if the sum is 0%.
What is the best way to write this formula(s)?

    Re: Complex conditional formatting

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

where A1:B2 is the group of cells you want to sum.

Your question is not specific so it's not possible to give you a formula you can just plug in. If this answer doesn't help, then speficy the range of cells you want to format, and the range you want to sum. Best way to do this is to attach a file as Pepe Le Mokko suggests.
