Stretching a chart along its x-axis

Dear Experts,
I would like to stretch a chart along its x-axis without affecting its y-axis.
As on the attached picture: I want to increase X1 to X2 without affecting Y.
Changing the scale of the axis does not help.

If the chart is in á chart sheet, don't think it is possible.

Instead of allowing Excel to determine the minimum and maximum values of the x-axis automatically, you can set these yourself, so you could set the maximum to be 25 or 26 and this will stretch the graph to fit the plot area.

I think that the questioner means stretching the X (over the entire width of the sheet) on a separate sheet of the diagram. But this is simply not to do.

Sorry, my bad! I think you can do that in a chart sheet by choosing the paper size in the page layout: Page Layout > Size.
