I am attempting to get an average of multiple non consecutive cells, ignoring anything that is equal to '0'. The cell distance apart is not fixed and may vary. I have tried this formula SUM(S23,S31,S39,S47,S51)/INDEX(FREQUENCY((S23,S31,S39,S47,S51),0),2) but its returning DIV/0 . May you please help. Thanks

Still using Excel 2016?
There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.
A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. The sample layout accurately matches that of your real data. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

The formula will only give #DIV/0! if the cells are all blank and/or zero.

You can always use IFERROR to mask the error, but, if there's no data, there's no data, and no average.
