Moving contents to another tab (easy?)

    hello

I have data on one tab in a workbook titled "1804", on this tab I have a ton rows that in column "B" have the contents "RM". I need specific data for each row moved to another tab in the workbook titled "RM". On the RM tab I need the following cells content moved from the "1804" tab:

column C contents, moved to column A (starts at cell A2) on "RM" tab

column K contents, moved to column B on "RM" tab

column M contents, moved to column C on "RM" tab

Column N contents, moved to column D on "RM" tab

Possible to paste the folumula on the RM tab and drag down to account for all the "RM" rows on the 1804 tab?

If you want to move data, you will need VBA. If you want to extract data, you can use a combination of FILTER and CHOOSECOLS.

Fast answers need visual help. Please read the yellow banner at the top of this page on how to attach a file and a mocked up solution.

That worked, however, can we max out the rows to like 70 or so (when referencing the 1804 tab)? 38 rows was used in the example, but its possible more could be added in. I tried editing the formula but got some errors

Re: Moving contents to another tab (easy?)

Also, quick question. When I delete the data from the 1804 tab, and paste in a new data set (all in the same format and row counts) I get "REF#" errors in the formula on the RM tab for where the row numbers would be. is there any way to lock in the formulas cells on the RM tab as I remove and paste new data in the 1804 tab?

Just delete cell contents, not rows or columns. That is, select the old data and use the delete key on the keyboard. Don't use Delete on the Ribbon.

Alternatively, if the row and column count is the same, just copy the new data and paste it over the old data.
