The Company I work for now seems to have some issues with PO tracking. The person they have receiving in the shippers into the system does not understand the first thing about Purchase orders, Systems, Excel etc. I had to create a sheet just to track the packing slip numbers since they were not including these numbers when checking them in.
Is there a template/dashboard for Purchase orders/vendors to link together the ODBC files so I simple put the data into the template already made and it can be done already? I don't know how to get the links and such with the Data to get the templates and dashboards to work effectively but i want to have some tracking from the packing slips i have been keeping track of and the information that is created with the purchase orders in the system.
One issue i have found is that the system has multiple lines that have the same PO# since there are more than one line per PO# which cause issues when linking items.
I know what i am trying to explain might not make any sense special when it comes to what i am looking for. I know what i am looking for is something to be done really in Power BI but i need to get the main parts done in Excel first to see if the mechanics are even there first.
I need something that will help track the shippers and link them to the PO from the system without creating more data entry then needed. any thoughts would be appreciated. Yes, i would love to just take over the shippers myself but for some reason the controller thinks having a receptionist is "audit" control. Instead of having purchasing taking the shippers from shipping and receiving department once checked and then put them in. I know as I put that down it sounds absolutely ridiculous.
