A manual mock up of what the sheet should look like would help us.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. The sample layout accurately matches that of your real data. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

It appears to me that you are specifically looking to develop a "Cash Flow" statement. "Financial forecasting" is a fairly innocuous term. Is that correct? There are a bunch of templates available on the net for Cash Flow statements.

Forecasting can be pretty complicated. To develop a forecast you need:

• Historical data
• The factors that can cause the data to vary
• Any forecast or assumptions about those causal factors for the future

For example, if I have five years of data for a ski company, and want to forecast the following year, I can be pretty sure that the variation is seasonal with sales peaking in the winter, I can project growth past on past growth, and take into account any forecast of overall economic conditions.

What information do you have that could form the basis of a forecast?
