Hello,
Excel newbie here.
I am working on compiling some data and photos in excel, from a recent exploration project that I went on. The data is organized by every place visted, date/time, it's GPS coordinates, notes, and photos taken from each particular visited site. For the cells that display the photos, I have just inserted an arrow shape for every photo associated with that particular site and hyperlinked it to a subfolder of photos in the same directory as the workbook. When the arrow shape is clicked the photo is displayed in the default photo/image viewer for whatever computer it's opened on. The workbook and the photos folder were saved on a flash drive. However, photo hyperlinks will only work if the workbook is opened directly off the flash drive.
When giving the flash drive to my boss, he copied all the files on the flash drive onto his desktop. In doing this all of the hyperlinks to the image files became broken when he tried to access them through the workbook. Even through it's photos subfolder was in the same directory(just a copy of it).
My question. Is there anyway to have the hyperlinks to images still work if the workbook and images are copied on to a different computer drive?
Any help would be appreciated.
