    Lightbulb Sales Gamification Spreadsheet

    Hi All,

Looking for a template for a gamified spreadsheet for my sales team.

I have the data and can sort by highest to lowest in realtime using Rank etc so that is not an issue but I need to look at ranking by the following

    Sales
    Gross Written Premium
    Average Premium

There is a cell displaying the target for sales count also but not important to be factored in. Any help or templates you have would be appreciated.

There may not be any templates as specific as this, but it doesn't sound too tricky (on the face of it).

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. The sample layout accurately matches that of your real data. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

    Re: Sales Gamification Spreadsheet

    Thank you,

I have attached the overview sheet where the data is available and amended the names and amounts etc for sharing.

I would like to have a nice gamified tab whereby the agents can view how they are doing whilst also remaining a fun little competition. A lot of the data you see is pulled from a master data source but will remain where it sits currently in the spreadsheet.

Do you want to sort the table is situ, or pull data from it in the different rank orders?

Pull from the data and different rank orders but I want it to look fun and appealing - I can do a rank but cannot make it look appealing to the eye. This is a team of youngsters so I am trying to appeal to their demographic.

Well, don't make the mistake of Comic Sans and titti frutti colours!!!

I'll have another look. Formulae don't do the formatting, though - you'd need to do this yourself.

    Re: Sales Gamification Spreadsheet

On reflection, are you really looking for ranking lists, or are you in fact wanting charts (graphs)?

Good morning! I'm waiting for answers to my questions before moving forward on this. Are we aiming for lists or graphs? Thanks.

    Re: Sales Gamification Spreadsheet

OK. So, you can control select data columns, then go to Insert and Recommended Charts - you get a choice of ways to represent the data. I recommend you do this.

I've added one such chart in the attached - if you select it and click on Change Chart Type on the ribbon, you'll get lots of options to preview and try.

I suggest you spend some time just playing with this.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to attach the workbook!
