Hi
I have searched the web, but to no use,
I am missing row numbers, but not rows.
See image.
What is wrong, do you think?

Suggest you read the banner at the top of this screen and post a file as we cannot manipulate pictures.

Is this in one particular workbook or generally? Have you tried unhiding the hidden columns (A and B) to see if the row numbers reappear? Wat have you tried?

There are no rows to unhide.
I checked the Data tab for searches, filter and sorting, but I can't see anything wrong.
I have toggled the view headings in the Page Layout tab
I have checked the options menu, but I didn't find anything suspicious there either.
It's only in this certain file. I can't recreate this, and I'm sorry I can' send you the file.
I think you misunderstood. I asked, "Have you tried unhiding the hidden columns (A and B) to see if the row numbers reappear?"
If it's only one file, then I suggest you copy its data to a new file and ditch the old one - it may be corrupted.
Column a and B is not missing or hidden.
Tough to analyze without documentation. Good Luck. I'm Out!
Try selecting those rows & change the vertical alignment to Center.
HI!!
That did it ...
Thanks a lot ... (and I mean a lot!)
PS; I can't give you a star reputation, upon doing so I get an error. But here's one:https://www.excelforum.com/images/icons/icon14.png

How can I tell that from your screenshot? You were asked to attach a workbook and refused, so all we had to go on was a picture!Column a and B is not missing or hidden.
If that takes care of your original question, please choose Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED. You can also access the SOLVED tag by editing the opening post and choosing SOLVED from the drop-down to the left of the title box.
Also, if you have not already done so, remember that you can reward anyone who offered you help towards a solution for your issue by clicking the small star icon (* Add Reputation) located in the lower left corner of the post in which the help was given. By doing so you can add to the reputation(s) of each of those who offered help.
Glad to help & thanks for the feedback.
Sorry, but ...

That just means that you can't give Fluff any more rep until you've repped another member or two. It's a precaution built in to stop misuse of the rep system.
.. I guess all possible downsides with this rule, has been thoroughly considered.
But rules are rules ...
It's not so much a rule as a security measure set up by the site owner. They will have done it for good reason.![]()
I guess so, but this time Fluff13 has been "deprived" of a well-deserved token of his helpfulness.
Clearly, there must be other solutions to this problem, or...?
What about an easy accessed ranked list of contributors governed by the site owners?
Ranked on two criteria, like how many threads they have been active in, compared to how many solutions they have been credited?
But this is another thread, isn't it?

Yes - please feel free top open a thread here: https://www.excelforum.com/suggestions-for-improvement/
You can give Fluff that rep at any time in the future after you've repped some other members.![]()
May be I will do just that ...
Thanks to the forum anyway!
