    Excel Look Changed Suddenly

    Hello,

I opend my excel today and noticed a different look.
Upon closer examination, the tabs, scroll bar and ribbon color had all changed.
Read a bit and was able to change the theme under files/option/general/Office Theme.
However, the Tabs and scroll bar still appear rounded, whereas previosuly they were squared.
Anyone know how to revert to the prior look?

    Thanks john

Not sure , pls try Hope this help you

It sounds like you might have updated to a newer version of Excel, which has a different default look and feel. If you prefer the previous squared tabs and scroll bar, you can try adjusting your Windows settings to use the "Windows Classic" theme.

To do this, follow these steps:

Right-click on your desktop and select "Personalize".
Click on "Themes" in the left-hand menu.
Scroll down and click on "Windows Classic" under "Basic and High Contrast Themes".
Click "Save Theme" and give it a name.
    Close the Personalization window.
Once you have set the Windows Classic theme, launch Excel again and see if the tabs and scroll bar have reverted to the previous squared look. If not, you may need to adjust some additional settings within Excel itself.

To do this, follow these steps:

Click on the "File" tab in the ribbon.
Click on "Options" in the left-hand menu.
Click on "Advanced" in the left-hand menu.
Scroll down to the "Display" section.
Under "Disable hardware graphics acceleration", check the box next to "Turn off hardware graphics acceleration".
Click "OK" to save your changes and close the Options window.
After making these changes, close and reopen Excel to see if the tabs and scroll bar have reverted to the previous squared look. If not, you may need to adjust some additional settings or consider reverting to an earlier version of Excel if the look and feel is important to you.

    Hi,

The only themes available are Think, Windows, Windows Light, Windoes 10 and Flowers.
    Cant find Windows Classic.

Also, Disable hardware graphics acceleration does not appear as an option under display.

    Thanks John

The latest version of Office has slightly rounded scrollbars and tabs, but this has been in place for me for quite some time - which upgrade channel are you on?
