Navigating through TAB from D1 to A1

    Hey Experts,

Need your help for a diminutive stuff. I have one spreadsheet it consists of data from A1 to D1, I have hid the columns from E1 onwards. My expection here is if user presses tab on D1, it should go to A1 instead of not going anywhere since columns after E1 are hidden. I have seen such sheets however not sure how they do it. Need help on this please.

I am avoiding macro for this. Just a small workaround if anyone is aware about will be helpful.

    Many Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Little Master

    Administrative Note:

Is your forum profile showing the Excel PRODUCT that you need this to work for?

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the Office PRODUCT (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your product is for Mac, please also state this.

The three most recent Excel products are Excel 2019, Excel 2021 and MS365 - if you are using MS365, please give this name along with the version number in your profile (e.g. MS365 Version 2306). This is in the About Excel section further down the Account page.

    Thanks.

Don't think it can be done without VBA. The only thing controllable in Options, I think, is the direction that the cursor moves after Enter. Options > Advanced > Editing Options.

    PM???

I think the fact that nobody else has said anything probably speaks for itself.

Please update your forum profile with your Excel version. Thanks.

I'm sorry - it was there when I posted and I was wondering if it was supposed to mean something, which is why I questioned it.

Re: Navigating through TAB from D1 to A1

This is kind of a workaround kind of similar but done with a cursor. IF (big if) this would be close enough, if you have data in D1 and left col E unhidden, you could do something like this ...
    In cell E2 put A1
    In cell E1 put =HYPERLINK("#"&E1,"Go")
then anytime you want you can click on (cursor) E1 and the cell you'll be in is A1.
This is a second way where you don't have to use a reference column.
I put the step by step instructions in cell A17
    and here
go to Insert tab at top of workbook,
put your cursor in cell D1 - just highlighting the box NOT in the function bar
    select Link
box opens, select "this document" tab
type in A1 under type in the cell reference
    hit OK
    Attached Files Attached Files
