Expand or add rows of Table in a protected excel sheet - no Macros

Is there any way to expand a Table in a spreadsheet protected with a password, without using macros?

Some organizations block spreadsheets containing macros, so there is a limitation in the funcionatilty of Excel at its full capacity.

    Thank you for you help.

What is the purpose of the protection? You want people to be able to add new rows, but not edit any of the existing data?

To prevent editing, you will have to lock all cells. But to add a row to a table, you must be able to type into the cells. It is possible to allow the user to insert a new row into a table, but then they would not be able to type data into the cells.

Unfortunately the statement of your requirement is a paradox.

The reason why I want to protect the sheet is to avoid users to delete formulas in some columns. There are specific columns they can edit (A, B, C) but other columns with formulas (D. E. F. G) would be protected. This is the reason for the protection.

I experimented with this a little bit. If you have a table, you can lock columns D:G to prevent formulas from being changed. You can also leave A:C unlocked to allow the user to enter data. However, the user can not type into a new row and have the table automatically expanded, like it does on an unprotected sheet. You can give permission to insert new rows in the body of the table, but the formulas are not filled to the new row, because those cells are locked.

I cannot find any way to do this using built-in protection features. Everything I've found in a search for the same question provides a VBA solution.
