    Score / Ranking sheet

Looking for a bit of help with a forthcoming golf competition scoring?.

I need to rank the players based on points scored (Column G). Where scores are the same then the following should take precedence when it comes to rank position?.

Highest value in Column C, followed by highest value in column D, followed by highest value in column E?..

    Can anyone assist????

    Re: Score / Ranking sheet

Make a rank for every column, multiply each column, sum these and make a new rank.

The green one but actually showing the names and scores in a league table based on total points (top to bottom). So it would be Martin (150), Elmont (135) then Robin 129....etc.

    Re: Score / Ranking sheet

It would be a countback....whoever scores the most points on the third round, then the second, then the first.....

    Re: Score / Ranking sheet

There is no difference between Kenny and Wayne in this example
I don't know how realistic this is?

    Re: Score / Ranking sheet

Its very unlikely that they will have exact same scores for the three rounds. I just duplicated the tabs for an example at the moment. However the countback as noted would be followed.

    Hello
Enclosed my first attempt as I understand it only as a screenshot because I did not find where you attach a table, solution was created with Power Query.

    Re: Score / Ranking sheet

Superb, many thanks for your help with this. There is no way i would have sussed this out. See revised workbook....

I think there are a couple of minor tweaks required....

The formulas are not quite right on the round 1,2 or 3 tabs..... The individual should be ranked on 1)total points, 2) points scored on back 9, 3)points scored on Last 6 then 4) points scored on last 3. if you look at Round 1 Both Bob and Brett scored 34 but Brett scored 16 on the (in) column. This should rank Brett above Bob

Also on the league table, If total points are equal then the players should be ranked based on 1) Round 3 points, 2)round 2 points then 3) round 1 points. Robin and Martin scored 120 but Martin scored more in round 3 so should therefore be ranked 1 overall

This should be the last tweak and should make my life in the forthcoming competition a whole lot easier.

    Thanks once again.

    Regards

    Martin

Great, see once the data has all been entered and the rank has been allocated. How do you sort the rows into ascending or descending order (keeping the corrct info)
