Hi all I have an excel sheet with 15-20 tabs and most sheets have 1000s of rows with formulas and it is starting to slow it down. is there anything that can be done to speed up the sheet. it is taking minutes to save and update. basically unworkable at this stage. I am focused on 3 tabs that are super slow.

Take a look at:
- Conditional format formulas (sometimes it's hundreds when you can do it with maybe 10)
- reduce formulas with short ranges (not A:A but A1:A100)
- Don't use volatiles formulas (indirect() today() now())

Are they formulas that you need to keep? In other words, once the formulas are calculated, are the results ever going to change? If not, you can get rid of the formulas and just keep the results from the formula.
unfortunately it is a dashboard situation. they update every so often. but if there is a vba solution i am all ears! thanks

Another option would be to turn calculations off for the sheet & then have the sheet recalculate only when you tell it to recalculate.
