if there is data in cell A3 then put data as a paragraph if not leave that cell and output blank

need an if formula to say that in Cell B1 is a heading called ingredients and needs to be in bold
if there is data in cell B3 then put data as a paragraph if not leave that cell and output blank

need an if formula to say that in Cell C1 is a heading called size and needs to be in bold
if there is data in cell C3 then put data as a paragraph if not leave that cell and output blank

need an if formula to say that in Cell D1 is a heading called highlights and needs to be in bold
if there is data in cell D3 then put data as a bullet point or unordered list if not leave that cell and check for data in cell E3 for the next bullet point if Cell D3 doesnt have any, vice versa

Need an if formula also to say that in Cell G1 is a heading called Exclusion from free shipping and needs to be in bold

    Re: If Formula Needed

Not sure what you mean... but.

    1. Format row 1 as BOLD.

    A1:
    =IF(A3<>"","Description","")

is this what you wanted? If so, similar formulae for the other cells...

    Re: If Formula Needed

    Hi Glenn,

Thank you for the advice about the title
unfortunately this is not the result ive wanted
let me make it easier for you
In cell A1 i have a heading called Description which needs to be bolded, then have to input a space downwards
in cell A3 if i have data then it has to output as a paragraph if not return blank

same as the above for the other ones i have said in the first post as well
if you could help me out again would be much appreciated

    Thank you

Re: Return a value when target cell is non-blank

Hi. Forum Rule 1 is very short. It states: "Title must briefly summarize your request."

A GOOD thread title is the sort of thing you would use as a search term on Google. Your chosen title would produce a squillion useless hits. You need to take a bit more time to think of a descriptive title that would be "Google-friendly". Many people search the forum answers looking for help and your very general title wouldn't help them at all.

Since you are a relatively new user of this site, on this occasion, I have changed it for you.

However, if you continue to use weak titles, you can expect to have your thread BLOCKED until you change it yourself.

    Regards,

    Glenn.

Now I definitely do not know what you want!!

If you want Excel to insert blank cells/rows... you'll need VBA. Apart from that, I have no idea what you mean. Sorry!!
