Expand a table on a protected sheet

I have a table that I want my users to be able to expand to the right with new data, if needed. This table is on a sheet that I need to protect. When the sheet is unprotected and I enter data to the right of the table, the table properly expands to encompass the newly entered data. If I unlock the cells to the right of the table then protect the sheet, I can enter the new data to the right of the table, but the table doesn't expand to right. How do I fix this problem?

If the sheet is protected, then the table will not expand. You have a choice, unprotect the sheet & allow the table to expand, or protect the sheet & accept that the table will not expand.
