Protected Drop down menu

Hi all,

I want to create some kind of dashboard with our internal marketing worth and marketing usage from our clients, to give sales an insight of what is it all worth. In order to do that I created an excel sheet where they just have to fill in 3 things with a drop-down and they get what they want. The only thing is, I want to protect the sheet, but if I do that, they cannot choose from the dropdown anymore. If I protect everything except for the drop-down it works, but then sales is able to delete the whole dropdown. I don't assume they will do that, but these are not the most excel savvy people, so mistakes can be made.

Does anyone know how I would fix this?

did you try protecting only the user interface of the sheet?
