Column A won't unhide and I have no idea when/how it was hidden in the first place. (Working with a cat on my lap may have something to do with it
Thanks in advance, I need to publish this doc asap. Uploading sample, the actual doc is 18 pages.

select
unhide.png
then right click on any header of column and choose unhide
Click on the little black triangle to the left of the column letters and above the row numbers. Then click on Format | Hide & Unhide | Unhide Columns. Done.

Doesn't work. Is it my copy of excel?
As an experiment I used my Book1 sample to hide another column and unhide it. Hide works fine. Unhide does nothing.

What doesn't work. Sandy's approach or mine? It works with the sample file (So does Sandy's but it's a bit trickier to get the handle for column just A).
Or, you can press F5, select any cell in column A, say A1, then Format | Hide & Unhide | Unhide Columns.
OK this may sound like a newbie question even though I was once considered an excel expert, but where the heck is FORMAT? What happened to it? Where did it go?
Yes, it does. You just have to work out how to select the hidden column. If it's in the middle somewhere, it's easy because you can select the columns on both sides.Unhide does nothing.
Found Format. Finally. It worked this time. Thank you SOOOOOO much.
You're welcome.
