hello everyone ,
i used to use excel office 2007 and when i used to click filter , it used to take me to first row of my excel ,
now since i have updated to office 16 , i am unable to do so ,
also since my excel has around 8000 rows i miss this feature badly

Not clear what do you want.
You can confirm step by step when you click where is your cell position, if you attach sample file its more clear idea.

i am using office 16 excel ,
i have around data uptp row 8000.
when i click filter button in that excel , i am unable to go to first row of my worksheet .
when i used office excel 2007 previously , i was able to go to first row after clicking filter button .
But confirm about your data record upto which column & row,
When you click your control in which cell is it within your data record or out of record for example if your record a1 to d8000 & your cell position d8002 like this, post your sample file here its more clarity.
yes my data upto a1 to az1
till continuously down till a7952 to az7952
when i am down to row 7952 and i click on filter down office excel 16 doesnt take me automatically to row1 as it does in office excel 2007

Does activating filter bring you to the first row with office excel 2007? I would have preferred my cursor to stay in the same cell when I do the filtering! You could easily go to the first cell by hitting ctrl+up or click on the header cell and hit the down arrow.

but activating filter from tab button doesnt take to to first row of excel .
