    decimal separator

Hi, I have a problem with the decimal separators. I want it to be a dot instead of a comma. To do this I go to options, advanced, disable use system separators, and put a dot instead of a comma. The column that I imported from a pdf is changed correctly, but the one that I typed manually still shows a comma. How can this be resolved? The document is attached to this post.

    Re: decimal separator

Before changing your Options to dot separator write a 1 in a cell, copy it then select the affected range (or entire column) and use Paste Special, select Multiply and confirm. I am supposing that your data in that column is text, not number format.

    Re: decimal separator

In your attached file you had 3 items in column G, what do you mean with "on my cell" ?
If after multiplying by 1 you see a 0 it's because it was an empty cell so it didn't need to be treated.

    Re: decimal separator

Ok, now I understand what you want to do. I have tried to do the sum of the three cells in column g and I get 0. Therefore, that column is text, not numbers. Is there a way to transform that text to a numeric value?

    reread Rollis' post #2

write a 1 in a cell, copy it then select the affected range (or entire column) and use Paste Special, select Multiply and confirm.
